Everyone should take self-care seriously. Read a book, go on a hike and/or create a skincare regimen for YOUR skin type. I am a Makeup Artist so I love trying new products all of the time - the products may change throughout the year but my routine stays the same. Disclaimer: I am providing personal recommendations for my skin type, I am not saying these exact products will work for everyone. You should Cleanse, Exfoliate, Moisturize, etc. but use different products that will help your skin. My skin type: Acne-prone, Oily/Textured Skin.

Products mentioned in my LIVE video:

  1. Remove makeup with cotton pads and Micellar Cleansing Water (you can use a cleansing oil, makeup wipe, etc. but this is what I am currently using). How to use: Shake Well. TO REMOVE EYE MAKEUP: Hold pad over closed eyes for a few seconds, then gently wipe without harsh rubbing. TO CLEAN SKIN & REMOVE FACE MAKEUP: Gently wipe all over until skin is completely clean from makeup and impurities. Use daily, AM/PM. No need to rinse.
  2. Cleanse entire face with SkinCeuticals LHA Cleansing Gel. How to use: Apply a small amount of cleanser onto wet face and neck using a light circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.
  3. Exfoliate entire face (stay away from eye area) with Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant (I exfoliate 3x/week - Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday). How to use: After cleansing, dispense a half-teaspoon into wet hands. Rub to create a creamy paste. Apply to face in circular motions, avoiding eyes. Massage gently for about 1 minute. Rinse.

4.   Use a mask (use whatever you are trying to target, excessive oily skin, dry skin, etc.) - I also only do this 3x/week. For this particular night, I used the Perricone MD Elemental Energy Foam Firming Mask. It instantly felt warm on my face and skin felt so plumb and firm after rinsing it off. How to use: Place generous amount all over cleansed face, avoiding the eye area. Leave mask on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water and pat dry.
5.   Add Treatment/Moisturize Face! This is when you can add a treatment serum  - in my case I used the Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel Cream for Extra Dry Skin (really because I like the way this feels on my face, not because I have extra dry skin). It contains Purified Hyaluronic Acid- Naturally found in skin, it delivers pure boost of hydration. It acts like a sponge for dry skin cells, absorbing up to 1000 times its weight in water and progressively releases water back into skin, keeping skin hydrated and supple throughout the day. I then follow-up with Sonia Roselli Water Balm - so good!!
6.   Moisturize Eye area - I use a very tiny amount of the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream. How to use: Pat a small amount of cream under and around the eye area using the ring finger. Follow the orbital bone from the inner corners to the outermost corners where crow's feet tend to form.

I love when after a video, I see a "Beauty Buddy" feeling inspired by recreating a look, sharing their fave products with me or in this case - putting on a mask, love it!
